You may have seen images of heads carved from stone and adorned with gold or enamel such as this?

However clay was also used!

Here's a lesser known Minoan work dated to about 1500 BCE!

Google Blogger Stats tells you that many of you like a previous post featuring an artist known as the #AthenaPainter so I will try to find more works by him to share 

What else do I have planned? 

In the Asian calendar it the year of the metal Bull so I may do some posts of Bovines in Greek Art 

Going through my files I have found some almost but not yet finished poetry translations with notes to share plus more word studies plus there will be updates on what longer pieces I am going to post to my Metousia Patreon
